5. Social plug-ins
On our web site, we use so-called social plug-ins (e.g. from YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram) with the logo of each provider. Social plug-ins are small applications that establish a connection between your visit to our website and the social media platform of the third-party provider. When visiting a website with social plug-ins, the user's computer establishes a direct connection with the provider's computer via a browser. The content of the social plug-in is transmitted directly from the provider's site to the user's computer and integrated into the website by the browser. This informs the provider that the website concerned has been accessed. If the website of the relevant provider is also logged in at the same time, it can also assign the visit to the user's profile.
If the user interacts with the social plug-ins, for example by pressing the 'like' button or making a comment, information is transmitted directly from the user's browser to the provider and stored there. The data collected in this way can later be assigned to a profile. If this should be prevented, the user must log out from the website of the provider of the social plug-in.
Please be advised that we have no control over how these social plug-ins work, what data they collect or what third parties do with this information. For more information on how third parties use the information collected through social plug-ins, please refer to each relevant provider's data protection policy.
6. Disclosure to third parties
As a general rule, your data will not be disclosed to third parties. However, the disclosure of your data to third parties is permitted in exceptional circumstances,
– if you give us your consent;
– if it is made to official distributors or subsidiaries and is necessary in order to respond to your inquiry;
– if this is required by law or if we are requested to do so by a court or authority;
– if it is made to third-party service providers that support us in data processing or in any other way;
– when necessary to protect our interests or those of other users.
7. Rights of data subjects under the EU GDPR
According to the EU GDPR, the rights of data subjects include the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection.
Please submit questions regarding the acquisition and processing of your personal data and requests for information and corrections to info@pbswisstools.com.
