To ensure your own safety and the safety every person, we would like to make you familiar with the safety regulations for our tools. The number one rule at all times is that you must always use the right tool, use it in only the manner in which it was intended to be used and observe the warning notices.
Take care when working with electrical current!
Insulated ElectroTools screwdrivers comply with the regulations according to IEC 60900 for insulated tools for working with voltages of up to 1000 V AC/1500 V DC. This should not be regarded as an encouragement to carry out tasks on live appliances.
Work according to the Five Safety Rules | DEHN International (dehn-ua.com)
VDE screwdrivers prevent electric shocks if they are used up to a permitted voltage of 1000 VAC/1500 VDC and are undamaged. Carry out a visual test to check for any external defects in the insulation before each use.
ESD tools conduct electrical current and must not be used for work on live equipment. Their black cap and yellow handle distinguish them from the regular PB Swiss Tools screwdrivers designed for use with electronic components. Do not make contact with electric current sources!
VDE interchangeable blades are individually tested and can be used by hand safely. When using with a handle, make sure to only use our VDE interchangeable handles. We cannot accept any liability if you use the VDE interchangeable blades with third-party products or drills, socket screwdrivers, etc.
Hold the screwdriver blade on the current conductor and at the same time touch the end of the handle with your finger. Watch for earthing. If a voltage is present, the glow lamp built into the handle lights up.
